Give yourself a slower transition
If possible, avoid rushing immediately into a packed schedule. Stand up slowly, take a few comfortable breaths, and notice how your body feels before heading out.
Drink according to your normal needs
Have water available and follow your usual hydration habits. Massage does not require forcing excessive amounts of water, but staying comfortably hydrated is part of everyday self-care.
Choose comfortable movement
A gentle walk or easy range-of-motion movements may feel good after a session. Intense training immediately afterward may not be ideal if your body feels deeply relaxed or an area received focused work.
Notice your response
Some people feel energized, while others feel ready for rest. Mild temporary tenderness can occur after focused work. Let your therapist know at your next visit what felt helpful and how your body responded so future sessions can be adjusted.
